Description
This course introduces the basic principles of occupational health and safety in and around the workplace. Learners will explore the duties of both employers and employees, understand hazard identification, and follow correct procedures for reporting risks. The course covers legal and organisational requirements for site access, intoxication policies, equipment use, lock-out procedures, and signage. It also explains the use, maintenance, and limitations of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Additional topics include good housekeeping practices, safe material storage, workplace demarcation, and emergency response planning. By the end of the course, learners will be equipped to contribute to a safe, compliant, and health-conscious workplace.
